The colleges here are genuinely stunning. Walking through Radcliffe Square and seeing the Bodleian Library up close was a real wow moment. Everything feels old and grand but not stuffy. Really easy city to explore on foot.
A proper English city worth every bit of the trip
Oxford has so much going on beyond just the university stuff. The covered market is brilliant for picking up local food and little gifts. Streets are super walkable and the pubs are cozy and full of locals. Felt very real, not just a tourist trap.
Great city break, loved every minute
We were blown away by how much there is to see and do. Christ Church college alone is worth the visit. Good mix of cafes, bookshops and green spaces. The pace is relaxed which makes it perfect for a weekend away without feeling rushed.
Loved the history packed into every street
Every corner of Oxford feels like it has a story behind it. The Ashmolean Museum is free and absolutely packed with incredible things to see. Food options are solid too, plenty of choice for all budgets. Very impressed overall.
Brilliant city for a cultural trip
Oxford really delivers if you are into history and architecture. Broad Street is lined with bookshops and old buildings that just look amazing. The whole city center is very compact so you never feel like you are walking too far between sights.
Absolutely loved it here
Came expecting a quiet university town and got so much more. Port Meadow is a lovely escape right on the edge of the city, perfect for clearing your head after a day of sightseeing. The locals are friendly and the city just has a great energy to it.
